Appearing on Turkey's state-run Radio & Television Corp (TRT), Erdogan replied to questions on several issues.
In regard to relations with the EU, Erdogan said that his government would continue to move on this path, noting that the government was pursuing a policy open to the world.
Erdogan said that UN Secretary General Kofi Annan's report on Cyprus has not been discussed at UN Security Council for two years. ''They should keep their promises first and isolations (on TRNC) should be lifted, then we will open our airports and ports,'' he stressed.
Stating that they would not make any concession from economic program and fiscal discipline, Erdogan underlined, ''there is a stagnation in markets currently, but this situation is temporary.''
Replying to a question, Erdogan said that Turkey was a country of confidence and stability, adding that small fluctuations in the economy did not necessitate an early election.
